The new Hermes King of Seasons scarf measures 140 x 140 cm and features a double-sided, monochromatic print. Made of high-end heavy cashmere-silk fabric, both sides offer the same effect, composed of 70% cashmere and 30% silk, available in two colors.On one side, a lion with golden-tassel-like rays of sunlight, an eagle hidden among autumn leaves, a wolf trembling gently beneath a cold crown, and a horse adorned with a variety of flowers evoke the famous paintings of Arcimboldo. Pierre Marie reinterprets the imagery of the changing seasons, with each season represented by a fantastical anthropomorphized creature, reminiscent of a hymn to bountiful nature. The attire of these mythical beasts draws inspiration from Henry de Gissey, who designed costumes for the ballet Ballet Les Fetes de Bacchus in the 17th century and for the Russian ballet in the early 1920s. This baroque-style luxurious scarf pays homage to the passage of time.
