The new Hermes King of All Seasons scarf measures 140 cm by 140 cm and features a double-sided, monochromatic print made from high-quality heavy silk cashmere fabric. Both sides have the same effect, composed of 70% cashmere and 30% silk, available in two colors.One side depicts a lion with sunbeam-like golden mane, while the other showcases an eagle camouflaged among autumn leaves, a wolf trembling gently beneath a frosty crown, and a steed adorned with an array of flowers, reminiscent of Arcimboldo's famous paintings. Pierre Marie reinterprets the imagery of the seasons, with each season represented by a personified fantastical creature, akin to a hymn celebrating the bounty of nature. The attire of these mythical beasts draws inspiration from costumes designed by Henry de Gissey for the ballet Les Fetes de Bacchus in the 17th century, as well as for the Russian ballet in the early 1920s. This Baroque-style luxurious scarf pays homage to the passage of time.
