The APS watch embodies the brand philosophy, combining extraordinary charm with meticulous craftsmanship, perfectly replicating the newly launched Longines Master Collection with its eight-hand moon phase complex function. The 42MM stainless steel case is polished, maintaining Longines' elegant aura. The left side of the case conceals the adjustment button for the day-date function, while the right side features the usual two major buttons for sport watches and a central crown.
The classic silver barley pattern dial orderly displays all the complex functions, with four large hands: the hour hand, minute hand, and two additional hands for the sweeping second hand and the calendar hand with a small crescent moon tip.
The remaining complex functions are distributed across three small dials on the main dial. The small dial at 12 o'clock consolidates three functions: the left side shows the day of the week, the right side displays the month, and the small blue hand in the middle belongs to the chronograph system's 30-minute timer. The small dial at 9 o'clock features two hands; the lower hand is the short hand, indicating the hour in a 24-hour format, allowing you to distinguish between AM and PM. The upper hand is the ultra-short hand, which serves as the second hand. The small dial at 6 o'clock is our most familiar moon phase zone. However, the hands on the two function dials also include a GMT 12-hour timer from the chronograph system.
The watch features a transparent case back, allowing a clear view of the movement through the magic window. The automatic rotor is well-polished, showcasing AF's watchmaking standards.
