Additionally, the coating is thin enough to clearly see the sunburst pattern on the underside, but this comes at a higher cost.4. This bezel uses PVD platinum plating with a fingerprint-resistant coating. The bezel material has been upgraded from ordinary brass to stainless steel, meaning that even if the bezel is scratched and the plating is damaged, the underlying color will still match the platinum shade. However, stainless steel has a hardness greater than that of ordinary copper, which significantly increases the manufacturing effort and cost.5.
